York
York ist eine Stadt im Norden von England, am Fluss Ouse, nahe der Mündung des Foss in die Ouse.York war die frühere Residenzstadt der Grafschaft Yorkshire. Heute ist die City of York eine selbständige Verwaltungseinheit , die nur zu zeremoniellen Anlässen zur Grafschaft North Yorkshire gehört.
