Sheffield
Sheffield es una ciudad perteneciente al condado de South Yorkshire, Inglaterra. Según el censo de 2001, su población es de 525.800 habitantes aproximadamente. Es además muy activa debido a su numerosa comunidad de estudiantes y su comercio. Su ubicación geográfica es latitud 53°23'N y longitud 1°28'O.Es una de las pocas ciudades que cuenta con un parque nacional a las afueras, conocido como Peak District . Su nombre deriva de la Río Sheaf que atraviesa la ciudad.Como curiosidad, podemos decir que aquí se rodó la película Full Monty y de esta ciudad proceden grupos musicales como Moloko, Pulp, The Human League, Bring Me The Horizon, Heaven 17, Arctic Monkeys, Def Leppardy Reverend and the Makers.Es también el hogar de algunos de los clubes históricos del fútbol inglés, como el Sheffield United y el Sheffield Wednesday, incluyendo al club de fútbol más antiguo del mundo, el Sheffield FC, y el más antiguo estadio de fútbol, Sandygate Road, de Hallam Football Club.
